The teaching and training dimension encompasses several curricular units associated with FAUP, within the scope of the Integrated Master in Architecture (MIARQ), the Advanced Studies in Architectural Heritage Program (CEAPA), and the PhD Program in Architecture (PDA – ‘Architectural Heritage’ option), among others. Notable curricular units include: Heritage and Landscape: Management, Analysis, Design; Building within the Built Environment; Circular Construction, Certification and Conscious Design; Building Rehabilitation; and Architecture and Society. These units are coordinated by FAUP, with the participation of faculty from different organizational units of the University of Porto (FAUP, FCUP, FLUP, FEUP).

Teaching activities include open lectures and seminars on various topics, aimed at both the academic community and the general public. In addition, continuing and advanced training courses are offered to managers, professionals, students, researchers, and other interested parties.

The Chair also has an international dimension, reflected in faculty participation in the Erasmus Mundus Master’s program Architectural and Urban Contemporary Heritage (ARURCOHE). This program, in which FAUP participates, focuses on the study, preservation, and enhancement of contemporary architectural and urban heritage.
