In the research domain, projects and dissemination activities are being developed within the Centre for Studies in Architecture and Urbanism (CEAU) at FAUP, and/or in partnership with other R&D units, higher education institutions, public and private organizations, NGOs, the UNESCO Chairs network, among others.
The Chair aims to establish itself as a collaborative platform and a catalyst for cooperation networks at both national and international levels. It also seeks to continue existing collaborations and foster new partnerships with public and private entities such as the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage, ICOMOS-Portugal, the Portuguese National Commission for UNESCO, the Municipality of Porto, among others. The Chair is open to the participation of students, researchers, managers, technicians, and other potential stakeholders.
Doctoral theses and master’s dissertations related to the Chair’s themes are also currently being developed.

The Chair aims to establish itself as a collaborative platform and a catalyst for cooperation networks at both national and international levels. It also seeks to continue existing collaborations and foster new partnerships with public and private entities such as Municipal Councils, Parish Councils, Museums, Schools, Associations, and other organizations. The Chair will be open to the participation of students, researchers, managers, technicians, and other interested parties.
Extension activities include the implementation of participation and co-creation strategies, aiming to foster a closer and more collaborative relationship with the communities that give meaning to cultural heritage.
